    Best 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil

This really was the simplest, most reliable mechanical pencil on the market. it has all the performance characteristics a discerning mechanical pencil user desires.

This is not a conversation piece or a "writing instrument"; it is a workhorse and simply does what is required without complaint.

I can only assume you are looking at numbers on the spreadsheet that indicate this item is not profitable. Perhaps adjusting the price of this item a bit would meet your profit requirements while still allowing your customer to obtain this great product.

    Pentel Forte Mechanical Pencil

This is, by far, the best and my favorite mechanical pencil EVER!! Please, please re-stock them!! I am so terribly disappointed that I cannot get these from you. Please reconsider adding them back to your line-up.

  • Jodie Lyden

    Best Pencil Ever for Teachers!

This is the best mechanical pencil I've ever owned or used, and being an art teacher, I've used a few in my time. :) Please bring it back into production. I just can't deal with anything else on the market. I'm begging!

  • Gewell

    Bring it back, please!

    Best mechanical pencil ever.

The "Pro" version of Forte has that ridiculous rubber grip, that eventually loosens and slides all around.

  • Karla

    WHY ?!?!?!

This is by far one of best mechanical pencils I've ever had the pleasure of using!!! Why on earth would you discontinue it???? I've tried finding an alternative & they all fail miserably. If you Pentel comes to their senses & brings this back, I'll buy 3 dozens!!! Come on you guys!!!!!

My Favorite Pencil is No Longer Made?!

I'm using my last two of these pencils and they're starting to wear out. Please bring these back!

  • Paul Moser

    Please bring this model back.

I've been using this pencil for years. It has worked flawlessly. It was just the right size without any rubber on it to get broke down from the chemicals at work, and had a normal eraser. My favorite pencil by far. It's hard to find a pencil that's just right.

  • Jeremy

Great Pencil. PLEASE MAKE IT AGAIN

Someone once told me, "Whenever you find something you like to use, buy a lifetime supply, because they will quit making it." That is the case with the Pentell Forte A55. It was durable, simple, comfortable, had a good useable eraser, and lasted a long time. Please start making this pencil again; they are the best balance of quality and price.

  • richard ryan

much better than the other pencils

Do you have any left at all? I want a new one and I need the front
piece for one I have. Please bring it back.

  • Gibb

Say it ain't so!!! Bring this out of retirement

Pentel, please bring back this model!! All the oversize, squishy rubber-grip pencils are for the birds. These were great, just the right size/weight, durable... Why on earth would they get discontinued??? Please do us pencil geeks a favor and bring this one back.

    Noooooo! Discontinued? Why? Why? Why?

  • Bobby Z

    Please Bring This Back

The A55 is by far the best mechanical pencil I have ever used. I usually buy a box every year or so and I was so disappointed when I went to order a new box and found that they have been discontinued.

  • Cathy

    BRING THIS BACK

This was and still is my most favorite pencil in the world. Nothing else I've ever used really compared. It's durable, lasts long, withstands my aggression, need I go on? Other than my tendency to lose pencils, these things last forever for me. When I realized I might need to replace my last one, I googled it and it's discontinued?! What?!

  • Keith

    why is this pencil discontinued?

This pencil is perfect for Field Land Surveyors.. good size barrel and eraser size and no eraser cap to take of and lose in the winter with thick gloves on. Please continue to make this pencil!!

Wonderful pencil, would like to see it remade

One of the post comfortable pencils I've ever used for writing and sketching. Would love it if Pentel reinstated this model.

    Forte A55

I also an looking for the A55. I have not been able to find them in any store. I used the P205 for years, but it got a little pricey at $7.00 a copy. So I settled for one of the Twist-Erase models. Disappointed the rubber grip just doesn't get for me. I see they have the A57 but that 0.7mm lead is not fine enough for me.

I want this in the original black 0.5 mm Forte A55 drafting pencil.

Why isn't this available in the original black 0.5 mm size? This was inexpensive, worked well, and had improvements over the small eraser version. The white "Magic Rub" like eraser erased better without damage to the paper, as well as lasting longer. The 0.5 mm writes more precisely than the 0.7 mm. I have ordered several hundred of these 0.5 mm Forte A55 drafting pencils.
