News flash: After you read this very humorous take on the Oscars we’d like you to make your prediction for Best Picture. We’ll pick a random winner out of all the correct answers. Winner will receive a Pentel “Gold” Prize Pack! Leave your comments below. Get an extra entry by telling us what you like most about this post! You must enter before 9PM EST Sunday, February 27. Following a week-long post-NY Fashion Week lull, we’re finally back to glitz and the glamour with the 83rd Academy Awards. Who’ll wear it best? Who’ll go home with the grand honor of Best Picture? Who’ll trip and fall hilariously as they make their way onstage and/or suffer severe wardrobe malfunction? (My bet’s on Anne Hathaway.)
Thanks to all who participated in the Pentel National Handwriting Day “Heroes Worth Writing For” promotion. We received hundreds of letters from across the country! Each letter was reviewed carefully by managers from various departments at Pentel of America. All letters will be sent to Operation Gratitude who will see that they get to our military overseas. Betsy B. from Virginia was our Grand Prize Winner. Betsy really put her heart and soul into her handwritten letter to the U.S. troops. Her letter was sincere, personal, and even included a bit of humor. It had all the right mix of emotions to make it the winning entry. Congratulations Betsy! You won a $200 Visa Gift Card and $100 in Pentel products. The Runner-Up Winners who will receive a $50 Visa Gift Card and $50 in Pentel products are:
I love fine point pens – in fact, in most situations, the finer, the better! With the advent, in recent years, of gel pens that are 0.3, 0.2, and smaller, I’ve been happy as heck. The last package of goodies from the folks at Pentel included a shiny black sign pen...
Happy President’s Day weekend! Do you know how many left-handed presidents there have been and can you name them? There’s an EnerGel pen waiting for the first person to correctly name the presidents! Since left-handed people have to place their hand over the paper as they write, the ink has a tendency to smear. That’s why the Pentel EnerGel works so well for left-handed people. Not only does it write smoothly at any angle, it is QUICK-drying so there’s no time for it to smear! Back to the question…what are the names of the left-handed Presidents of the United States. Be the first to comment here and win a pen! Here’s a hint:
Hello Friends! We’re in the middle of Random Acts of Kindness week – February 14-20. Practice some random acts of kindness this week and maybe you’ll get into the habit of doing something nice for someone (for no particular reason) during the year. There’s an artist in London who designs art for cards, books, and magazines among other things. Her name is Heidi Burton, and she posted some Random Acts of Kindness cards that you can use to download, print, and share. Thanks Heidi! Download here.
