Today is Monday, January 31. This is the last day to send in your National Handwriting Day letters to our troops. They must be postmarked by midnight tonight. Now that’s motivation!
We hope you’re enjoying our National Handwriting Day promotion: Heroes Worth Writing For. National Handwriting Day is Sunday, January 23, but you have until January 31 to send us your letter to the troops to be entered to win prizes. See official rules here. National Handwriting Day is an opportunity to reintroduce yourself to a pen (like the Pentel EnerGel shown above) or pencil and a piece of paper. In this day of computers, more and more information, notes, and letters are sent back and forth via a keyboard and cyberspace. According to the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association (WIMA) website “The purpose of National Handwriting Day is to alert the public to the importance of handwriting. According to WIMA, National Handwriting Day is a chance for all of us to re-explore the purity and power of handwriting.”
Operation Gratitude and Pentel have teamed up to promote our National Handwriting Day promotion: Heroes Worth Writing For. Yesterday, we started an outreach of that program on Facebook. Go to Operation Gratitude’s Facebook page and look for the post about the Heroes Worth Writing For promotion. Leave the comment “Pentel Sent Me” under that post and “like” Operation Gratitude and you have a chance to win a Pentel “Pen Pal” Prize Pack.
