The lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer are here and for kids that means time out of the classroom and out of doors. While school may be out for summer, you can still encourage kids to learn.
Some might call me old-fashioned. I still like to read a paper newspaper! I like the feel of the paper in my hands and I like to turn real pages. Therefore I don’t have an e-reader. Having said that, I do have a cell phone and will admit that I text and I email. While I enjoy some electronic communication, I do miss the more personal communication of giving and receiving a hand-written note. My school-year resolution is:
This is the time of year when school is winding down, some people are looking ahead to graduation, and some are getting ready for spring finals or SATs. You want to do your best on the test and get credit for all the right answers you give. You also don’t want the machine to mark you wrong if there are smudges on the paper.
